Man in the Holocene by Max Frisch

Here’s another book. I’ve been reading a lot lately as the weather has been so bad.

I enjoyed this one by Swiss author Max Frisch. It’s a novella, published in 1979, and is mostly about an old man stuck at home during heavy rainstorms.

It’s cleverly written and includes many interesting facts about the geology of the Swiss alps. The tension builds up nicely.

The New York Times Book Review called it a masterpiece. I think it’s very good (⭐️⭐️⭐️).
