Sourdough with seeds

This week I added some seeds to my bread.

Just what I could find in the cupboard: sunflower, poppy, flax and sesame. I used a mix of 80% wholegrain flour and 20% white. Italian wholegrain isn’t quite as “whole” as I’m used to.

I thought it would be nice to use this blog to track the coming of spring, my favourite time of year. So here are the first daffodils. They look a bit odd. Perhaps they are a wild variety.

Using Automator to automate exporting photos on Mac

Automator is an old Mac app for automating tasks. I was aware of it, but had never used it as other solutions such as Keyboard Maestro, Better Touch Tool or shell scripts have always seemed easier to me. And lately it’s been rumoured that Apple wants to retire the 20 year old Automator app in favour of the new(ish) Shortcuts app.
